How do samples work?
Request them with the
form on this page. Samples are free, and we arrange a tasting with you to work out where kink sits on your menu. The first round goes out in Chiang Mai; if you are elsewhere in Thailand, we still come back to you.
What can we put on the menu with it?
A house welcome drink, a non-alcoholic signature, a ginger soda or tonic, a cocktail like the kink Mule, and food from the same bottle. Start from the
recipes.
Which bottle do venues use?
The 510ml: 17 serves at a 30ml pour, sized for a bar shelf or a busy kitchen. A 720ml trade bottle is coming, and its page takes a notify-me.
What about trade prices, minimum order and reorders?
Tell us your volume when you request samples and we quote it. Price, minimum order, payment terms, lead time and delivery are set on that quotation, and reorders go by email.
How much goes in a drink, and how quick is it for staff?
One 30ml measure, a standard jigger. Over ice with 90ml of soda it makes a 120ml drink in under 30 seconds; for a shorter, bolder serve, use 60ml of soda.
Do you deliver outside Chiang Mai?
Yes, we ship nationwide. Chiang Mai venues can ask us about direct delivery, and delivery for a trade order is set out on its quotation.
Will it taste the same from one order to the next?
Every batch is made to one locked recipe, and each run's sugar level and acidity are recorded. Ginger is a crop, so colour and strength can shift a little between batches, but the pour and the recipe on your menu stay the same.
How long does it keep?
Sealed, 6 months at room temperature, with the expiry date stamped on every bottle so stock rotates by date. Once opened, keep it in the fridge and use it within a month.
What is in it?
Ginger, cane sugar syrup and lime juice, with no preservatives. The full ingredient statement is on the bottle label.
Is it alcohol-free?
Yes, kink itself contains no alcohol. It works in a welcome drink or a non-alcoholic signature as well as in a cocktail.
Does it work in food as well as drinks?
Yes. Our kitchen recipes use it in pork skewers, wings and a nam jim, so one bottle covers the bar and the kitchen.
Why does it settle in the bottle?
That is real ginger settling out. Shake the bottle before you pour; the drink comes out slightly hazy rather than clear, which is how it should look.
What if a delivery arrives damaged?
Photograph the box and the bottles before you unpack any further, and email
hi@kinkdrink.co. A trade delivery that arrives damaged, short or incorrect is put right on the same basis as any order, on the timings in your quotation.
